RationalPlan Project Server can be used for free for 30 days without any limitation. During this time the system can be tested to see if it meets users needs. After the first 15 days users can start seeing a notification message about the expiration date.

The number of licenses for each type of user and the number of available licenses can be easily seen as in the next screenshot:

From this point the administrator can manage the licenses by adding new ones or purchasing them. For each user account added into the system the administrator needs to upload one license. Please note that during the trial period the number of available licenses can become negative in case the number of users is greater than the number of licenses. This must be solved before the trial period ends. Otherwise the access to the server is limited to only administrator users.
