Printing on large format printers

Postby ch63 » Wed May 18, 2011 7:52 am

Is there a way to print on large format printers?
It is a bit unfunctual if you have large projects and not the possibility to use sizes like A0.
Is there a change, that you will add this functionality or is there a workaround?
We need this really often

Thanks

Normally, if you do have a A0 printer then it should work ...
If you can not use the A0 format (can not see A0 in the list of available formats) please try to set your A0 printer as the default printer on the system; if this won't solve the problem either please address the problem to support

OK, changing the default printer solves it. Thanks
But this is not very comfortable. Why can't I just selct the printer in the "page setup"?
Now I need to change the default printer, close RP and start it again and later on I change de default printer again.

Indeed on certain platforms might have this behavior, we're aware about the problem and we'll fix it with a subsequent version

Viewing the software is not ideal for me.
I recommend the ability to zoom in the vertical direction just as you allow in the horizontal direction for the gant chart.
grab a vertical bar and stretch the task name window smaller or bigger.
hope that is understandable?

Hmm ... why would you need that level of flexibility on vertical too ?
The horizontal continuous zoom is a feature that was indeed requested for fine tuning (though I think it is not available on other pm applications), etc but we were never requested for the vertical equivalent I I wonder why would users need that

I have a smaller screen at home and I am forced to increase the screen resolution to fit enough of the working area in, otherwise I am using the scroll bar alot. Unfortunately everything becomes tiny as a result.
At work I have a large screen and as a result I have too many tasks listed.
I have played with the resolution of my screens which hasn't really improved things much.
This is why I have requested this option.
This may be useful for anybody with glasses as well?

What about mouse-wheel scrolling ? That's what we're using here and I'm comfortable with, indeed vertical scroll bar is annoying

Printing on large format printers

Postby Moislonsoppex » Fri Oct 21, 2011 5:25 pm

Ive got the 1984 era A&A game. I need it to be more portable. Id like to make a foldable or rollable map, so I can travel with A&A. Is there an image file of the map available that I could print on a large format?

Hmm ... normally I would say a .pdf but from 1984 it's quite a lot unless you set the scale on years level or such
