Earned Value Management

Postby LKirkes » Thu Mar 22, 2012 2:03 pm

Is there a way to report Cost Variance and Schedule Variance already built in to Rational Plan? If not, is there a way to export the data needed to generate CV, SV, and other scheduling statistics?

You can export data to Excel (menu File/Data Export) or use Baselines to see differences in schedule.
Could you please address an email to support explaining your exact need a little bit more (some development could be placed on the to-do list in this area so maybe your feedback could get into the process) ? Thanks

Is there any chance this might be in the pipeline?
The excel export simply dumps all data as per the WBS with rolled up task costs. It is therefore tedius/difficult to pull out easily a simple project spend or "S" curve.
If it were possible to export this as a seprate table in the excel export file it would be great as this is something management is always asking for.

That is on the to-do list here but can't commit for a due date at this moment

That's fair enough. It would also be nice if this thread gets updated once it has been considered. Image

EVM was implemented in here and most probably the next version scheduled after Easter holidays will include it.
